Day:-1

We started off at about 7 am in the morning from Dadar by MSRTC bus.

Including me, we were 7, office colleagues.

We started from Mumbai somewhere around 7 in the Friday morning, due to Eid, we have the holiday on Friday, so we plan on Friday. Though Friday morning 8 AM is too early for all of us, we all were fully charged & nobody was ready to miss a single chance to tease one another. We had our breakfast before heading towards Alibaug as we get packed breakfast. For those who don’t know, Alibaug is approximately 90 Kms from Navi Mumbai. On the way we not halted anywhere & finally somewhere around 11’o clock we reached Alibaug. After reaching the Alibaug bus stand, we hire an auto and start our journey toward our resort. It’s around 2-3 km from the Alibauh bus stand.

After getting refreshed, we straightaway went for lunch. But guys that were a real fiasco as the restaurant was not at all good, at least food was of average quality.so I will suggest while choosing restaurants in Aliabug be careful. You might get a nice hotel but you have to be very choosy. Then we headed towards the first beach of our mission that’s Kihim beach, which is around 100 meters away from the resort.

We click some photographs and play Kabaddi, as the beach was clean and beautiful. Around 7 pm we came back to resort and start drinks with chakna. We enjoy the Surmai fish at dinner, which is really good in taste. And then around 11 back to the bedroom and start planning Uno games till 3 am in the morning.

Day-2

Next day, after breakfast we went to Birla temple and after visiting Birla temple we went to Alibaug beach, beacause we already booked our bus tickets, which is at 5 pm from Alibaug bus stand. So we had lunch near alibaug beach and then we visit Alibaug beach, it was a beautiful beach, lots of crowds are enjoying the sea beach.

So its 4 pm, we had to pack-up & start for our journey back to Mumbai. So that was all about our weekend trip to Alibaug.

Getting there

Air: Jet Airways has daily flights to Mumbai (nearest airport).

Rail: Nearest railhead is Panvel, 85 km on the Konkan Railway.

Road: Alibaug is 124 km away from Mumbai. MSRTC buses are available on daily basis.

Sea: You can also take the ferry from Gateway of India which reaches Mandwa port in about 45 minutes.
